Grant is the founder and former CEO of Home Captain, Inc. leading the Company from inception through venture financing and growth to its acquisition.

Prior to founding Home Captain, Grant developed marketplace technology for veterans seeking to use their VA Loan benefits. He licensed the technology to Gannet Media, US Department of Defense, and Runzheimer International a former Prime Contractor to the US Department of Defense Housing. Before his entrepreneurial endeavors, Grant developed extensive experience in management, sales, marketing, e-commerce, and strategic partnerships working in multiple roles at American Express and Hersha a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust. Grant started his career serving in the US Army and worked in numerous leadership capacities achieving the rank of Major.

In keeping with Home Captain’s focus on serving its customers, Grant authored The Ultimate Guide to VA Loans in 2013 and The Ultimate Guide to Home Buying 2018. In 2016, seeing the need to provide Realtors® with greater education on working with veteran homebuyers, he created the VA Loan Certification for Realtors®. The VA Loan Certification is an accredited course that provides Realtors® with continuing education credits.

Grant has an MS in Technology Management from Columbia University, MBA from Babson College, and a BS from Endicott College. Grant is a proud veteran of the Global War on Terror and a Bronze Star Recipient.
