Constructing an analysis to purchase or develop a property includes leases, property pro-forma, financial modeling, due diligence, and cap rate selection. This class provides an overview of these required “checklist” concepts to make successful real estate investments. From all-in equity producing bond-like income used by some institutional investors to mortgage plus mezzanine debt structures used by opportunistic entrepreneurs - Financing of properties with both equity and debt has a multitude of complex options that must be analyzed for their risk and return characteristics.
